Thank you to everyone who attended Accessibility Nottingham #4!

The Accessibility Nottingham team

The Accessibility Nottingham team would like to thank you for making our relaunch event such a success. We cannot wait to see you again in September!

It was great to see you at our most recent Accessibility Nottingham event.

If you missed out this time, don't worry: our next event will be taking place on the 17th September at the Playwright 38, so make sure to save the date!

Details are to be confirmed: follow us on Twitter, and visit our website to keep up to date and be the first to hear when information is released.

We loved meeting you

It was great to see so many friendly faces at our last event, we had an amazing time networking, and getting to know each of you a little bit more.

The speakers at the event did a fantastic job of raising awareness surrounding online accessibility in an entertaining, insightful and light-hearted way.

We loved interacting with you all during Ady's accessibility pub quiz, and we learnt a lot about the Big Hack during Krissie's discussion! We hope that you took a lot away from the evening, and have been inspired to attend more of our meetups in the future.

The free food and drink also went down a treat - we will continue to offer this at all our future events!

Missed the event?

Thanks to Periscope 13, the media sponsors for our latest event: our meetup was filmed. For those who were unable to attend, we will be releasing highlights that you can watch from the comfort of your own home.

To find out when we release these highlights, make sure to follow us on Twitter, and like us on Facebook.

Thanks to our sponsors

Our team would also like to say a final thank you to the other sponsors of our Accessibility Nottingham relaunch event.

Firstly,  thanks to Yoast Academy, who financially supported us, and provided all our guests with a complimentary notepad and pen to take notes at the event.

Our entire event was live captioned for our audience by MyClearText. For those who are unaware, live captioning means that someone is listening to our event and typing up captions that will appear in front of our audience.

MyClearText offer remote and onsite services for people who require captions, including those who are hard of hearing.

Of course, we would also like to thank the Playwright 38, for allowing us to use their venue and catering to all our Pizza and beverage needs.

Want to sponsor our event?

As a not for profit event, to continue offering our meetup with free food and drink, we are seeking a sponsor for our September Accessibility Nottingham meetup.

If you are interested in sponsoring us, and want to hear how sponsoring us can benefit you, you can view our sponsorship packages on our website. Alternatively, get in touch, we would be more than happy to discuss things further.

The Takeaway

  • A huge thank you to everyone who attended our most recent event: with insightful talks, along with free food and drink, it was an informative and inspiring evening surrounding digital accessibility.
  • A final thank you to our previous event sponsors. We are now looking for sponsors of our September Accessibility meetup.
  • Save the date for our next meetup taking place on the 17th of September at the Playwright 38. Details are to be confirmed!
